Choose the Creality K2 Plus if you want the bigger build volume and a color system included in the Combo. Choose the QIDI Plus5 if you want the hotter chamber and nozzle in a lighter, shorter machine, with the option of a QIDI Box that dries filament while printing. Both are large enclosed CoreXY printers with active chamber heating, a 120 °C bed and a 600 mm/s top speed on the maker’s spec page.

Every figure here comes from QIDI’s Plus5 page and Creality’s K2 Plus Combo page, checked October 19, 2026. Speed, noise and flow figures are each maker’s claims, not measurements. For single-printer detail, see our QIDI Plus5 review and Creality K2 Plus review .

Size and workspace

Creality lists the K2 Plus at 350 mm per side and QIDI lists the Plus5 at 320 × 320 × 300 mm, which is about 30.7 liters against 42.9 liters. If a recurring model is between 321 and 350 mm in X or Y, or taller than 300 mm, that decides it. The K2 Plus is also 6 kg heavier, and Creality lists the Combo at 916 mm tall because the CFS sits on top, so check shelf and ceiling clearance. QIDI lists the Plus5 at 558 mm tall without a QIDI Box; our QIDI Plus5 review covers the Box and hub footprint.

Chamber, nozzle and materials

The Plus5 lists a hotter ceiling on both counts: up to 65 °C in the chamber and 370 °C at the nozzle, against 60 °C and 350 °C for the K2 Plus. Creality’s page gives 60 °C for ABS, ASA and PPS and 50 °C for a carbon-fiber nylon blend, and lists PLA, ABS, PETG, PA-CF, PLA-CF, PET, ASA and PPA-CF among its supported filaments. QIDI lists PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PA, PC and carbon- and glass-fiber reinforced polymers. For most hobby engineering filaments both ceilings are adequate, and QIDI recommends its own filaments for the best print quality. A higher number on a spec sheet doesn’t guarantee a filament prints well.

Speed, noise and cameras

Both list 600 mm/s. Creality quotes 30,000 mm/s² acceleration against 20,000 mm/s² for QIDI. These are motion ceilings, not print-time forecasts, and neither maker publishes a matched benchmark job. Creality quotes 45 dB or less at 300 mm/s from its own lab, and QIDI doesn’t list a decibel figure.

Creality includes two AI cameras, one on the toolhead for calibration and one in the chamber for monitoring. QIDI lists a single AI camera of up to 1080p with timelapse support. See our cameras for enclosed printers guide for the add-on route.

Multicolor: QIDI Box vs CFS

Both systems reach 16 colors by chaining four units. The K2 Plus Combo includes one CFS, and Creality notes that 16 colors means buying three more. The Plus5 is sold without the QIDI Box, but a Plus5 Combo that includes it is also listed. QIDI says the Box heats to 65 °C and dries filament while printing. Creality’s page describes RFID filament recognition and tangle detection in the CFS, and sells its SpacePi X4 dryer separately. Our multicolor 3D printer guide explains how single-nozzle color systems compare.

Software and ownership

Creality’s K2 Plus runs Creality OS with Creality Print 5.0, supports Fluidd and offers root access for technical owners. QIDI uses QIDI Studio and lists Orca, PrusaSlicer and other third-party slicers. Our K1 Max vs K2 Plus comparison covers Creality’s upgrade path, and the K2 Plus vs Bambu Lab H2D comparison puts the K2 Plus against a more expensive rival.

Which should you buy?

Choose the Creality K2 Plus Combo if:

  • you need the 350 mm cube or a part taller than 300 mm
  • you want a color system included from the start
  • dual AI cameras and Fluidd access appeal to you
  • you have the height for the Combo

Choose the QIDI Plus5 (printer only or Combo with QIDI Box ) if:

  • you print high-temperature engineering filament and want the 65 °C chamber and 370 °C nozzle
  • a lighter, shorter machine fits your bench better
  • filament drying in the multicolor unit matters
  • 320 × 320 × 300 mm covers your parts
